NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers And Memphis Grizzlies On A Trade Involving Iman Shumpert, Vince Carter And Brandan Wright?

There is no doubt that Cleveland Cavaliers are now keen in improving their lineup for the upcoming NBA season. Everyone would agree that if Cavs want a back-to-back championship, they need to add more caliber players, just like what Golden State Warriors did when they acquire Kevin Durant. According to reports, Cavs are eyeing Memphis Grizzlies' Vince Carter.

According to Yibada, Cleveland Cavaliers have been trying to shop Iman Shumpert in the market this summer. However, no team in the NBA league has shown interest.

Some sources are still unsure if Cavs is pushing the Iman Shumpert trade. However, with Shumpert's alleged DUI charge, many are convinced that Cavs will be more determined to get him off of their roster.

Reports have it that if Cleveland Cavaliers will trade Iman Shumpert they should go for the veteran players from Memphis Grizzlies, Vince Carter and Brandan Wright. According to Fansided, Grizzlies and Cavaliers could do a trade involving Carter, Wright and Shumpert. So why should Cavs and Grizzlies push this trade?

The report notes that Iman Shumpert is Cav's defensive ace. The player will be a great successor to Grizzlies' Tony Allen. Aside from this, the team lacks experienced players to back up Mike Conley as a point guard. If Memphis Grizzlies acquire Iman Shumpert, they will be able to solve this problem. Shumpert is an invaluable player to play both guard spots.

Although Iman Shumpert has a great contribution to Cleveland Cavaliers' title last NBA season, acquiring Brandan Wright and Vince Carter will be more than enough to fill Shumpert's spot. Both are skilled and intelligent veterans that will surely improve Cavs' chance for another NBA title.

Vince Carter will provide Cleveland Cavaliers the three-point shooting and open up necessary minutes for Cavs' young talents like Kay Felder and Jordan McRae. Meanwhile, Brandan Wright will provide Cleveland Cavaliers a strong rim-protector and a great offensive rebounder in the frontcourt.

Vince Carter and LeBron James together with Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and Brandan Wright will make a great team in increasing Cavs' chances for another NBA title. Meanwhile, Grizzlies is reportedly better with Iman Shumpert.
