The trick is, one should look for an Android device that has already received the "Pokemon Go" update with the Buddy System. Then log into that device using your "Pokemon Go" account and assign your Buddy Pokemon. Log off and log into your iOS device.

Even if your iOS device is not updated yet, the "Pokemon Go" app will track how far you have walked along with your Buddy Pokemon while you have your iOS device with you. If you want to check your progress with your Pokemon Buddy, you have to log into the Android device and you will see how far you have walked with your Buddy Pokemon and receive the associated Candy.

"Pokemon Go's" Buddy System offers a number of benefits. First, it offers the "Pokemon Go" player a Candy according to the number of kilometers he walks along with his Buddy Pokemon. However, it offers more than giving "Pokemon Go" Candy.
