‘Final Fantasy XV’ [LATEST NEWS UPDATES]: Sony’s TGS 2016 Press Conference Unveils New ‘FFXV’ Trailer, PS4 ‘Luna Edition’

Despite the fact that many "Final Fantasy XV" fans were disappointed when Square Enix decided to delay the release of its highly anticipated game, the game developer seemed making an effort to redeem itself by collaborating with Sony to launch a special edition "Final Fantasy XV" PS4 Slim. The said PlayStation 4 is known as "Luna Edition" and will be released on the same day as the game.

"Final Fantasy XV" has been deemed as Square Enix's long overdue game that took more than 10 years in the making. Unfortunately, many excited fans were recently dismayed when the game developer chose to delay the game's initial Sept. 30 release to later date of Nov. 29 due to its plans to further polish the game as well as to conduct quality testing to offer a game that can really live up to the fans' expectation, Parent Herald previously reported.

Even though the release of "Final Fantasy XV" has been delayed, Square Enix promised fans that the almost two months of added waiting time will be worth it. The reason? The whole game structure will reportedly undergo major alterations for a more interesting and less boring content, not to mention its more than 200 hours of gameplay.

To further redeem itself following the fans' disappointments for the delay, the "Final Fantasy XV" developer also decided to collaborate with Sony to release a special edition PlayStation 4, which is a slimmer version, to tie into the game's release this November. According to The Verge, the so-called "Luna Edition" of "FFXV" is reportedly the first limited edition of the newest PS4 model.

Furthermore, the "Final Fantasy XV" limited edition PS4 model was unveiled by "FFXV" director Hajime Tabata during the 2016 TGS PlayStation Press Conference of Sony. As per Siliconera, the "Luna Edition" was based on the moon seen in the screenshots that Noctis looked up to.

The "Final Fantasy XV" limited edition PS4 console package will be reportedly sold at $393 (¥39,980) and will include the "FFXV" game, a "Kingsglaive" movie rental and an original PS4 system theme. It is scheduled for release in Japan on the same day as "Final Fantasy XV" release date, which is on Nov. 29.

Meanwhile, it remains uncertain whether the "Final Fantasy XV" limited edition PS4 Slim console version will be released in North America, PlayStationLifeStyle noted. At the Sony PS4 event, Square Enix also released a new "FFXV" trailer that focuses more on the characters of the game.
