‘American Horror Story’ Season 6: Jacob Artist Reveals Casting For A Top-Secret Role; AHS Boss Teases ‘Twisty-Turny’ Season

"American Horror Story" Season 6 has one new addition to its cast members. "Glee" star Jacob Artist has revealed via an Instagram post that he has been booked for a top-secret role in this season of AHS.

Jacob Artist on Monday posted a photo on Instagram which showed the script, although the episode's subtitle has purposely been concealed. Artist captioned it, "Day 1." The post, however, has been taken down.

Jacob Artist has recently appeared in "Quantico," "Melissa & Joey" and "How to Rock." He joins "American Horror Story" cast members including Lady Gaga, Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Leslie Jordan, per Deadline.

Meanwhile, even with the premiere already hours away, almost everything about this season of "American Horror Story" is kept secret. Showrunner Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter they wanted to have a different experience for the fans this year, and to do so, Murphy and FX head of marketing Stephanie Gibbons came up with collaborative efforts. Part of which is the release of three "misdirect" promos, and only one of them is the real one.

It's a rather new strategy for the "American Horror Story" production to promote the sixth season. It was unlike before that they reveal details to build excitement, which were very successful in itself. Murphy also teased that this is going to be a very different season. And fans may have to keep guessing what's going to happen as they may not fully understand what truly lies ahead even after the premiere. "Because it is one awesome, twisty-turny season and I'm not kidding," he added.

The full cast has not been revealed, which is still part of the AHS campaign. But Murphy said that after the premiere episode, they will release the cast gallery.

"American Horror Story" Season 6 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10/9c on FX.
