'Criminal Minds' News Updates & Spoilers: Will Aaron Hotchner Be Back for Good?

"Criminal Minds" season 12 will soon hit the screens and fans are planning to boycott as Aaron Hotchner, who is portrayed by Thomas Gibson will no longer join the rest of his cast mates. Thomas Gibson was recently fired from the long-time series, which means that fans will no longer get a glimpse of their favorite character.

"Criminal Minds" fans were upset with Thomas Gibson's absence that they even created a movement, #NoHotchNoWatch. The hashtags made a huge trend on Instagram and Twitter.

For "Criminal Minds" season 12, fans will be in for a treat as they would still be able to catch a glimpse of Aaron Hotchner. Thomas Gibson's character will be back on the series' premiere as he will make an appearance on the first two episodes.

According to TV Line, Aaron Hotchener's character is still a work in progress as fans are yet to know what's in store for Hotch. TV Line then added that his character would either be killed, or locked up in case he would still make a comeback for the future episodes.

Aaron Hotchner may no longer be with the rest of the team, but they will however meet a new cast member as Adam Rodriguez from "CSI" will be joining the cast. Rodriguez would be playing the role of Luke Alvez who would make an interaction with one of the well-loved characters, Penelope Garcia, portrayed by Kirsten Vangsness.

During one of her interview, Kirsten Vangsness dished out a few details in regards to "Criminal Minds" season 12. One of the things that was certain however is the fact that her character and Rodriguez's character will be having several clashes.

"So, I met Adam Rodriguez the first day Penelope Garcia is going to meet Luke Alvez," Kirsten Vangsness tells Starry Mag during an interview. "I meet him and we are sitting there talking. He's delightful and I almost immediately love him. Then, we go to shoot a scene and it is amazing how much Penelope Garcia vehemently hates him. It is so different than how I feel about him. It was weird to be like, 'Hey! Hi!' I couldn't even look at him. I couldn't even look at him without starring."

There are no updates in regards to Thomas Gibson return as of this date, but it was mentioned that it is still uncertain as to whether he would be making a comeback or not. Feel free to follow Parent Herald for more updates on the "Criminal Minds."
