Football Transfer News: Manchester City Eye Alexis Sanchez.

With the English Premier League currently in full swing, league leaders, Manchester City, look to add another weapon in their stacked attacking line with the acquisition of Arsenal's star forward, Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester City remains as the top club in the Premier League, and they look to stay at the top and cruise to the end as champions. With decorated club manager, Pep Guardiola, at Manchester City's helm, they want to remain on the winning side and dominate all of English football, and by adding the likes of Alexis Sanchez to their club, there is no doubt that they will continue their winning ways.

This isn't the first time that Manchester City has approached Alexis Sanchez, with hopes of a transfer, as according to The Guardian, the English football club has previously attempted to recruit the Chilean star. The 27-year old Sanchez has before declined an offer made by Manchester City, but now the allure of being able to play under the great Pep Guardiola, with the team that's poised to win the Premier League title, has drawn Sanchez towards Manchester.

According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, Manchester is ready to make an offer for Sanchez in January 2017 if the Arsenal forward does not sign a contract extension with the Gunners. While his current contract with Arsenal will expire in the summer of 2018, Sanchez has made no clear intention of resigning. Ongoing rumors state that Sanchez is currently holding out of a £200,000 per week deal with the club, making him the highest paid player for the club, just ahead of star, Mesut Ozil. Manchester City would be more than willing to match the offer if Sanchez indeed decides to transfer to the club.

With Manchester City's already stacked lineup in the forward positions, they are currently not in the need for another forward, but bringing in Sanchez could mean more depth for their club. City is currently undefeated in the Premier League with 15 points in 5 games.
