Football Transfer News: Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho Wants Lucas

Manchester United Manager, Jose Mourinho, has always been a fan of Brazilian winger Lucas Moura, and now wants to bring the Paris Saint-Germain star over to England to play for his Premier League club.

Playing alongside the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimović, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria, Lucas has kept Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the French League, the Ligue 1, ever since he joined the club in 2013. Acting mostly as a role player and distributor from the midfield or the wing, Lucas has contributed much to the French side's lethal attack, making him on of the most valuable, and not to mention, sought after players in all of Europe.

This isn't the first time that Mourinho has attempted to recruit the Brazilian Lucas to join his team, as he had previously approached Lucas to join the team he then manages, Real Madrid. According to Football 365, Lucas's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, revealed that it wasn't Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, who wanted Lucas to join "Los Blancos," but it was Mourinho, who was undeniably impressed with Lucas's skill on the pitch. Instead of joining the Spanish league giants, Lucas chose to sign with Paris Saint- Germain in a £45 million deal.

Now as manager of Manchester United, Mourinho still has his eye out for Lucas. Ribeiro claims that Mourinho is still passionate about Lucas, that even up to now, he still wants to sign the Brazilian and bring him to the Premier League. According to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho has spent nearly £150 million in recruiting players such as Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba, prior to the beginning of the Premier League season, and now he looks to add Lucas in to the mix, in hopes of putting together one of the strongest clubs in all of Europe.

Currently, Manchester United sits in 7th place in the Premier League with 3 wins and 2 losses, over the course of 5 games.
