Netflix Original: “Haters Back Off!” Starring YouTuber Colleen Ballinger as Miranda Sings.

A brand new Netflix original series called "Haters Back Off!" is coming soon, and is bound to make your must-watch list. The new web series comedy stars popular YouTube personality, Colleen Ballinger.

The show "Haters Back Off!" is based on the life of Colleen Ballinger's YouTube alter ego, oddball singer Miranda Sings, and her aspirations for fame, despite her not so great singing voice. With her equally odd family at her side, the quirky, self-absorbed Miranda claws her way to the top of the music world, where she believes she's destined to be.

Ballinger will star in the main role as Miranda Sings in "Haters Back Off!", alongside Angela Kinsey from "The Office," as Miranda's mom, Bethany, Steve Little as Uncle Jim, Miranda's overly-confident and misguided uncle, and Eric Stockily as Miranda's best friend and neighbour, Patrick, according to Deadline. The show's plot is written by Ballinger herself, with her brother Christopher, as well as show producers, Perry Rein and Gigi McCreery, who were also behind the hit Disney show "Wizards of Waverly Place."

Ballinger's alter ego, Miranda Sings, has over 1 billion views on her videos on YouTube and has nearly 7 million subscribers, making her one of the most popular YouTubers today. According to Variety, it would be almost effortless to draw in a following for the show, as her passionate fans are already digitally-savvy, so it wouldn't be hard for them to catch "Haters Back Off!" on Netflix, since it is only a few clicks away.

The shows title, "Haters Back Off!," comes from the catchphrase Miranda Sings uses when "haters" criticize her for her lack of talent. "Haters Back Off!" will be released on Netflix on October 14 and will have a total of 8 episodes in its first season. Ballinger is currently on tour in the US as well as in Europe as Miranda Sings.
