NBA Trade Rumors: Rudy Gay Best Fit With Memphis Grizzlies Or Houston Rockets? Chris Paul To Join Pelicans, Kelly Olynyk To Raptors?

The trade rumors surrounding Rudy Gay do not show signs of quieting down as Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets are being linked to the Sacramento Kings player. For the other NBA trade rumors, Chris Paul will reportedly go to the New Orleans Pelicans while Kelly Olynyk is set to be traded to Toronto Raptors.

Christian Post reported that Los Angeles Clippers is considering to trade Paul as the starting point guard will be entering free agency in 2017. The team reportedly does not want to lose Paul for nothing so they are looking for potential trade deals with the other teams.

New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said in a statement before that he wants a player with high IQ when it comes to playing basketball. If the trade will push through, Paul will definitely help the New Orleans Pelicans. Paul played for the same team from 2005 to 2011 before he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Paul's average last season was 19.5 points, 10.0 assists, 4.2 rebound, and 2.1 steals per game.

For the Gay trade, iSports Times reported that Houston Rockets showed interest on him as well as Memphis Grizzlies. Gay will reportedly work well with Houston Rockets' new head coach, Mike D' Antoni. Gay could play as a small forward for the team. To get Gay, Houston Rockets might have to let go of Corey Brewer and K.J. McDaniels.

As for the rumored Memphis Grizzlies trade, Gay played with the team for seven seasons before being traded. The team also needs a small forward who can score and Gay is the best option. Gay averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists last NBA season.

Olynyk, on the other hand, is rumored to be traded to Toronto Raptors. The Boston Celtics player could help fill the spot of Bismack Biyombo, who is now with Orlando Magic. Olynyk could play alongside Jonas Valanciunas if he will really be traded to Toronto Raptors. Olynyk averaged 10.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the 2015-2016 NBA season.
