A 16-year-old teen was seriously burned when he was thrown into a bonfire at a bush party in East Gwillimbury. The suspect is yet to be searched.

A group of four males reportedly joined the party and started out several altercations with the teens in the party. York police assumes that a suspect threw the victim into the bonfire some time between those altercations. The suspect is described by witnesses as a black male who is between 17 and 19 years old and approximately 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 stature, with a thin but muscular built, short black hair and speaks with a thick Jamaican accent, according to Toronto CTV News.

York police reported that approximately 150 teenagers from high schools in the area were at the bush party when the incident happened. It was a huge group without proper supervision from adults.

It is highly important to always backup teen parties with proper guidance from adults, otherwise, dangerous occurrences cold not be avoided. Web MD featured the reality of danger in teen parties, suggesting the following to be aware with:

  • Drinking
  • Playing Risky games
  • Drugs
  • Car accidents
  • Sex
  • Raving

Among the list above, drugs would be the most hazardous and alarming especially these days. When teens are drinking, some could just put something in the drink. One currently hot drug is called zombie drug or flakka, which can be one of these drugs that can just change the whole life of a teen. When this comes into the teen's body, there will be tremendous boost in energy, making him/her feel like the most powerful hero in the world. It can also cause paranoia, delusions, agitation, and unbelievable tolerance to pain. There are many incidents with teens killing people and acting like zombies in America because of flakka.

Teens should be well guided and even if they do not want to, there should be committees in the neighborhood that will maintain supervision in streets and homes for possible happenings among teens. Teens, on the other hand, should be educated well about the dangers of uncontrolled partying.
