Vanessa Hudgens To Students Of The Accelerated School: Write Down Your Dreams And Be Whatever You Want To Be

"High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens advises students of The Accelerated School in Los Angeles to write down their goals and dreams and be whatever they want to be. The actress, with the help of a shopping store Kohl and Adopt a Classroom Program, gave students new pairs of Nike shoes for free. She also gave teachers gift certificates worth $600 for school supplies, in the event held in The Accelerated School last August.

One of her encouragements was to be patient in school. "I think that when you're learning something in school it's frustrating and it's challenging and it's easy to give up. But if you are patient and stick it through and put in the work, you'll end up so much better than you began," says the actress according to WWD.

She also told students to write down their goals and dreams and do anything they want to be. "It's important to write down your goals and dreams," the actress says so according to WWD. "You can be anything, whatever you want to be, a doctor or go to the moon," she continued.

Being already a star at the age of 16, Hudgens wasn't able to go to school and thus, she opted to be home-schooled instead. MTV reported that "High School Musica"l film was Hudgens' only high school experience. "I was actually homeschooled. [So working on 'HSM,'] I got to have my fantasy prom and got to wear a cap and gown for the first time and graduate with people I love -- the cast -- so it's been amazing," she said on the report.

Education is very significant to both one's personal and professional life, in numerous ways, according to the Balance. Hence, study hard and don't quit school, like Hudgens, who despite her busy schedules, does not stop learning.
