'Daredevil' Season 3 Teaser, Air Date, Spoilers & News: Netflix Series Returns 2018 & Everything To Know So Far

Viewers waiting for the next season of "Daredevil" might have to extend their patience as new episodes are not coming for a while. Though "Daredevil" Season 3 was officially confirmed during the San Diego Comic Con over the summer, the installment isn't expected until 2018 on Netflix. Here's everything we know about "Daredevil" so far.

Ideally, "Daredevil" won't be returning on Netflix until "The Defenders" Season 1 has been released. The latter's official air date hasn't been confirmed, except that Netflix announced it will be coming out sometime 2017. It is believed that "The Defenders" will begin filming its first season in the last quarter of 2016, thus further pushing "Daredevil's" production schedule to mid-2017.

Any hopes that "Daredevil" Season 3 arrives earlier on Netflix are dashed -- it just won't work with Netflix's time schedules for all its Marvel superhero series, which also includes "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist" and "Jessica Jones." Logically, 2018 will be an ideal date for "Daredevil" Season 3's release, per Comic Book.

"Daredevil" Season 3's main cast is expected to return, but there have been speculations that Vincent D'Onofrio will be reprising his role as Wilson Fisk. The character briefly appeared in "Daredevil" Season 2 to manipulate the Punisher (Jon Bernthral). The Punisher is also expected to become part of "Daredevil" Season 3.

Since "Daredevil" Season 3 comes after "The Defenders," then it will already be established that Matt Murdoch/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) is working with Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in bringing order to Hell's Kitchen. It's possible that these characters will be in "Daredevil" Season 3 as well.

Back in 2015, Bloody Disgusting reported that "Daredevil" was supposed to be adding the villain Bullseye in the story, however this didn't pan out in Season 2. Will the third season finally feature the character? Fans are actually eager to see Bullseye in the upcoming stories, including "Daredevil" star Charlie Cox. "I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point," the actor revealed via Screen Rant.
