NBA Trade Rumors: Josh Smith Remains A Free Agent, Considering To Play With LeBron James And Kyrie Irving In Cleveland Cavaliers?

The NBA trade rumors are getting more interesting as we near the new NBA season. According to reports, Josh Smith remains a free agent but the former LA Clippers power forward is considering in joining Cleveland Cavaliers, where he could play alongside LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving.

According to HNGN, Josh Smith has not signed to any team in the NBA league yet. However, reports are rife that he will be joining Cleveland Cavaliers to replace Timofey Mozgov.

Timofey Mozgov signed a $64 million deal for four years with Cleveland Cavaliers. However, this offseason the player left Cavs and decided to join Los Angeles Lakers.

At the time, Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to upgrade their roster but the team just loses a key player after Mo Williams decided to retire. Per Fox Sports, the veteran point guard announced a week ago that he is returning this new NBA season. However, Williams changed his mind and opted to hang his jersey for good instead.

To help Cavs improve their roster, they could give Josh Smith a chance to play for them. Per Hoops Hype, Josh Smith's stats declined since he left Atlanta Hawks. The player had short stints with Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers. However, he had never found his new home court for good yet.

Despite Josh Smith's declined performance, the player is still the fourth best player available on the market today. Reports have it that Smith is now desperate to find a new team since the training camp has already started and Cavs and Smith have a mutual interest in each other.

Per the report, Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in signing Josh Smith. The team is aware of the player's potential and skills. Also, they need to fill the void that Timofey Mozgov and Mo Williams left.

Will Josh Smith be a good running mate for LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love? Do you agree that Cleveland Cavaliers should sign Josh Smith? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
