'Dynasty': Popular Soap Opera In The 80's To Make A Comeback on CW

One of the most popular prime-time shows from the 80's is making a comeback in CW. "Dynasty" which is a popular soap opera set in Denver, Colorado is currently in the works for a reboot.

"Dynasty" is a story of two billionaire families that are feuding over their families' riches. The soap that was set in Denver, Colorado was well loved in the 80's. The show peaked for more than 8 years from 1981 to 1989.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Dynasty" is set make a comeback as CW saw full potential on the TV show. The soap will feature the Carrington and the Colby family's feud as they are fighting over their fortune and their children. The long-running show starred one of the biggest actors, John Forsythe, who already passed away. He portrays the role of the iconic Blake Carrington who is married to Krystle played by Linda Evans.

The "Dynasty" reboot will focus more on both families and their feud. The family drama is said to highlight the Carrington-Colby rivalry which is said to betrayal and murder, as described by the Daily Mail. The reboot would feature the family feud focusing on Fallon Carrington, who is the daughter of the billionaire Blake Carrington, and her step-mother Cristal.

"Dynasty" fans in the 80's were psyched for their favorite show's reboot. TV Line then added that CW is set to add a new spice to the well-loved soap. It was revealed that CW will be introducing Cristal Jennings, who was previously named, Krystle Jennings, a receptionist who married one of the Carrington family members.

Fans will be getting a glimpse of the story as told by Fallon Carrington and Crystal. It was then revealed that Easter and Richard Shapiro will be part of the show runners that will be helping the rest of the team to relieve the plot from the original "Dynasty" plot from the 1980's.
