‘Pokémon GO’ Tips, Tricks, News & Updates: Get More Revives & Use It Wisely With This Technique

Revives are one of the most significant features in "Pokémon GO" especially in Gym battles. Revives are obtainable items in the game and they are used when a player's Pokémon has been defeated in a Gym by a challenger from a rival team. It's important for users to know how to use Revives wisely and how to get more of them.

Revives restore a player's "fainted" Pokémon back to life in "Pokémon GO" and its HP or Health Points, according to Ranked Boost. When a Pokémon faints, their HP will drop to zero and will be incapable of fighting.

Beginning from level five, "Pokémon GO" players will be able to unlock three to 10 Revives every single level. A standard Revive item restores Pokémon with half of its maximum HP, while a max Revive restores a Pokémon's full maximum HP.

"Pokémon GO" players can collect standard and max Revives along with other items (Eggs, Potions, and PokéBalls) by activating PokéStops. Revives can also be acquired by leveling up your "Pokémon GO" trainer.

Users who want more Revives should take note of the items they own in "Pokémon GO," Heavy advised. If your bag is at full capacity, there will be no space left to pick up Revives at PokéStops.

It's also important for "Pokémon GO" players to visit PokéStops often. There are times when Revives will not be made available to you in your first stopover, but the item can appear in your next visits.

If you're running low on Revives, it's best not to keep battling in a Gym until your Pokémon faints and requires restoration. You should instead use another Pokémon in its place right before it faints. Keep fighting with your second Pokémon until it's almost at a faint level and then depart the Gym.

According to Heavy, "Pokémon GO" players would only have to heal their Pokémon instead of using Revives on them by using this technique. Users need to use this trick more as they advance in the game because Revives get rarer as a player battles more.

Another trick shared by Heavy involves powering up the Pokémon in battles instead of reviving it. Powering up a Pokémon will restore its energy enough for players to heal it and re-engage it, though this requires Stardust, another rare item in "Pokémon GO" that should be used wisely. Users can also evolve the Pokémon to give it energy without using a Revive.
