Did Leonardo DiCaprio White House Climate Change Speech Hit A Sideswipe At Donald Trump?

In recent remark made by Leonardo DiCaprio in a speech at the White House speaking about "Before The Flood," he profoundly told audiences that "climate change deniers should not hold public office." Some interpreted this as an indirect sideswipe to no none other than the infamous Republican nominee Donald Trump, according to a report published by The Guardian.

The multiawarded actor and climate change advocate Leonardo Di Caprio will grace an ecohow dubbed as "Before The Flood." The documentary seeks to feature the effects of climate change and how the human race can combat its inevitable occurence.

The Guardian reported DiCaprio held a speech in the White House, ahead the screening of "Before the Flood," the said documentary. He pointed out that the denial of the said phenomena indicates the "inability to engage with the rational world."

"If you don't believe in climate change, you don't believe in facts, and science, and empirical truths," he said. "And, in my humble opinion, [you] should not be allowed to hold public office."

The Guardian said some could see through his remarks as a "slight against" Republican candidate Donald Trump. Trump on a 2012-tweet mentioned his skepticism on climate change, but later denied the claim during the recently-held presidential debate.

The National Geographic Channel would bring the ecoshow ready to watch this October. "Before The Flood" is a show that would take viewers to a trip down memory lane. It would feature the earth's dramatic changes and how the human race can save it from its end.

From the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens and multiawarded actor, climate-change activist and UN Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio, "Before The Flood" would show viewers how immediate and how drastic actions are needed in today's trying time. The show would feature DiCaprio sending the message of change to local residents, activists, and global leaders with US President Barack Obama, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the likes.
