'The Blacklist' Recap & Spoilers: Mr. Kaplan Is Alive And Will Be Red's Enemy? Kirks' Motive For Abducting Liz And Daughter Revealed?

For those following the adventures of Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) in "The Blacklist" Season 4, it can't be denied that the turn of events is getting more surprising and intense. The last episode revealed that Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) is still alive. It also revealed Alexander Kirk's (Ulrich Thomsen) motive in getting Liz and her daughter, Agnes.

In the previous episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4, everyone was shocked when Red shot Mr. Kaplan despite her pleadings for her life. However, fans were in for another huge surprise when they learned that Mr. Kaplan is still alive.

NBC admitted that Mr. Kaplan is not yet done with her business, that's why they keep her alive. However, "The Blacklist" fans believe that she could be Red's next foe. The pair has been at odds after Red learned that Mr. Kaplan betrayed her for conspiring with Liz in faking her death.

Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly that Red took Mr. Kaplan's betrayal seriously. In the past season of "The Blacklist," Red is ruthless to those who betrayed him. Thus, more likely, Mr. Kaplan will have the same fate. The "The Blacklist" EP added that she's already dead since the time she helped Liz fake her death.

Meanwhile, it was revealed in the last scenes of "The Blacklist" Season 4 that Alexander Kirk was desperate to have Liz and Agnes due to his rare blood disease. Kirk wants both to save his own life because he is dying.

Alexander Kirk needs a biological descendant to save his life. That's why he tracks down Liz and her daughter Agnes. The last episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4 revealed that Kirk needs the mother and child as a cure and he is not really saving them from Red.
