Selena Gomez News And Updates: Singer Back In Rehab For Mental, Emotional Health Issues

Selena Gomez recently took a break from her "Revival" tour and cut it short due to the anxiety and depression she has been feeling as of late. The singer is confirmed to have checked back into rehab in an attempt to seek treatment for her mental and emotional health.

In a report by People, earlier Gomez said that her depression and anxiety are side effects of her lupus diagnosis. The statement was given back in August when she said that she would be stepping away from the spotlight in order to focus on maintaining her health and her happiness.

The 24-year-old has been busy traveling all over the world for her "Revival" World Tour and was not in a good place emotionally when she broke the news to her fans. She then decided to clear her schedule for the rest of the year in order to attain her goal.

Over the weekend, photos of Gomez surfaced online showing the "Same Old Love" singer spotted gladly posing for photos with her fans in Tennessee. Accordingly, she was enjoying a meal with her family when some fans spotted her and asked for a photo. A source claims that her family has been worried about her and has been there to support her.

Business Insider also reported that this is the second time that Gomez has been in rehab. The first was in 2014 for her lupus diagnosis. Lupus is an autoimmune disease. For her second rehabilitation, sources are saying that she has been there since August shortly after announcing that she was taking a break.

The treatment facility of Gomez is said to be private and quiet but very intense. It is located outside of Nashville.

Gomez as 34 more concert dates for her "Revival" tour, which was set to run through December. She has also stopped from recording new music and has not been seen in public events or interviews.

Sources close to the "Hands to Myself" singer also slammed the reports that Gomez was in rehab for alcohol and substance abuse. The former girlfriend of Justin Bieber reportedly remains optimistic about her future.
