Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's reunion will be happening in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. This made a lot of Delena fans excited, especially since the 27-year-old actress left the show in Season 6, but provided a way for the actress' character to return.

As it turns out, though, Dobrev may star in a show longer than fans are expecting to see her. "The Originals" Season 4 is rumored to be on the brink of cancellation and Celeb Dirty Laundry notes that series creator Julie Plec may be desperate to save it from cancellation.

Since Dobrev and Somerhalder's pairing remains as one of the most shipped TV couples, the Delena reunion may help provide "The Originals" with additional seasons. The publication reports that there are also rumors that Dobrev will be returning as Katherine instead of as Elena.

"The Originals" Season 4 recently saw the Mikaelson family in danger and this appears to be the storyline for the upcoming episodes. Mikaelson brothers share quite a bit of a long history with Katherine so it is efinitely ossible to see Katherine mingle with the vampires from New Orleans.

Dobrev's return in filled with a lot of controverse. Unreality TV reports that Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed divorce rumours are available online. Reports claim that Reed feels threatened of their previous relationship.
