A 6-Year-Old Boy To His Mother While Driving: 'Pull Over Mom, I Want To Pray For The Police Officer'

A 6-year-old boy had an unusual gesture that would make any police officer cry. While driving, Jaxon Siderius asked his mom to pull over so he can pray for the Montana Highway police officer.

"My mom said I should be working on praying for police officers who might die to protect us," Jaxon says. The name of the officer was Jerry.

Jaxon's mom taught him to appreciate every police officer, either men or women, for laying down their own lives just to protect all people. The little boy even wrote on his notes that he also wanted to be a police officer when he grows up, I'm So Blessed Daily reported.

There are a number of incidences of spotting kids being religious or having stronger faith than adults. Jaxon's case can be an alarm for many who have stopped believing in prayers and God. However, some would see it as a product of the parent's way of parenting.

Kids can be too religious at some point. "Religion is related to the child having a higher sense of self esteem, better academic adjustment and lower rates of substance abuse and delinquent or criminal behavior," says Bill Hathaway, a clinical psychologist of religion and Dean of the School of Psychology and Counseling at Regent University.

Although kids being religious is a good sign that there is a low possibility of substance abuse or criminal behavior when they grow up, there are also some kind of religiosity that could be signs of deeper mental health issues, according to Time.

Nonetheless, a study published in NCBI proposes religiosity as having a protective effect against conduct problems, delinquency and depression. Jaxon's case is favorable as many expects him to grow up as a good man who can probably "change the world" just as what he is starting to do today.
