Alleged Zombie Drug User Austin Harrouff Headed For Jail Two Months After the Face Biting Murder Incident In Florida

This story has been updated on Monday Oct. 17, 2016.

Almost two months after allegedly committing a gruesome Florida killing of a couple, Austin Harrouff is now sent off from the hospital straight to jail. The "teen cannibal" has lost a lot of weight and still looking weak.

The 19-year-old student of Florida State University was accused of killing a couple in August. One of the victims had gross marks on the faces, pointing to Harrouff's attempt to eat the skin or flesh off his face. Harrouff reportedly was making animal sounds during the crime. He was so strong that neither a stun gun nor a police dog was able to remove him from the victims, Sheriff William Snyder told NBC.

Harrouff was charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The young man is also facing one count of attempted murder, resisting arrest and burglary.

The teen suspect was hospitalized for two months after the day the crime happened. His physical condition has only worsened since then.

The investigators said that Harrouff ingested some chemicals in the garage causing clogging in his esophagus, malfunctioning in his liver, and fluid in his lungs. Initial tests found no traces of cocaine or marijuana in the teen's system.

The synthetic zombie drug also known as flakka is suspected to have given him the "superhuman" behavior and the unbelievable strength for the attack, Harrouff remains too weak and heavily medicated to provide a statement at this point in time. Meanwhile, blood tests results sent to the FBI have not yet been released to confirm whether the teen is indeed positive with flakka or not, NBC station WPTV of West Palm Beach reports.

Wade Harrouff, the teen's father, was very emotional in his interview with Dr. Phil and expressed his grief about what happened. He could not believe the attack was flakka-induced, though. He said that it might have also been drawn from an undiagnosed mental illness.

After the incident in Florida, flakka is still feared to be a source of other gruesome behavior from strangers in the bus, train, mall or anywhere down the streets. What Flakka users can do seem to have no limits, that is why it is called a zombie drug. This synthetic drug can just turn an ordinary person into a monster.
