'Friday The 13th' Game: Release Date Moved To Early 2017; New Single-Campaign Mode Will Be Added For Free

The game developer Gun Media is about to release the new "Friday The 13th" game, but not in the original release window which is suppose to be this 2016. It was announced that the "Friday The 13th" game will be out early 2017.

In a report by Digital Trends, "Friday The 13th" game was a Kickstarter's crowdfunded project back in 2015. Though the game reached its initial goal of $700,000, Gun Media fell short to reach the stretch goal of $1.6 million. Fortunately, Gun Media confirmed that already have enough funds to develop the "Friday The 13th" single-campaign mode.

Though the game release is now halted and was moved until early 2017, the "Friday The 13th" beta play which is slated this year will not be delayed. As per the Euro Gamer, backers from Kickstarter and those who will purchase the pre-order will be given 4 beta keys each.

Gun Media is now developing the "Friday The 13th" single-campaign mode. With this additional feature, the original $30 retail price of the game will be increased to $40. Luckily, those who already bought the pre-order and backers from Kickstaters will have the "Friday The 13th" single-campaign feature for free.

"Friday The 13th" game is a new hack-em-all game. The player takes control of the antagonist Jason Voorhees and overpowered serial killer. Aside from Jason, there are other playable characters, but unlike Jason Voorhees, these other characters will rely mostly on stealth and hiding in order to survive. Players can choose to be the killer or be the victim.

The "Friday The 13th" game will be released on Windows PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, the beta play will only be available on Windows PC. The "Friday The 13th" beta play schedule is expected before 2016 ends.
