'Batman,' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Animated Crossover Movie In The Making? Warner Bros Adapting Comic Book Spin?

A special theoretical event that was held earlier this week by Warner Bros as a part of the promotional event for their upcoming animated film, "Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders." The film reunites the original Batman TV series stars Adam West and Burt Ward.

The studio conducted a unique survey by handing out questions to moviegoers in selected theaters with an intent to gauge their preferences for future animated movie projects. According to We Got This Covered, one of their sources who was handed over the survey revealed that a possible crossover between Batman and Ninja Turtles is indicated by a question in the survey.

Last year, DC Comics and IDW had teamed up for the comic book crossover of both the series. The movie is likely to be an adaptation of this six-month mini-series, as reported by MovieWeb. Also, the survey indicated a team-up of the original "Batman '66" stars Adam West and Burt Ward with the original "Wonder Woman '77" TV series that would bring back Lynda Carter to voice Diana Prince. With the comic book of this crossover under the works already, the movie would be an added delight for the fans.

In addition, the survey hinted that "Swamp Thing", one of the most recognized characters of "Justice League Dark" could be in a solo film. The character hit his pop culture zenith in the early 1990s but devoted comic-book readers continue to adore him till date. Seeing more of him in a dedicated movie is something fans are looking forward to.

The two -day theoretical festival involved a screening of the "Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders" allowing the fans to view the film ahead of the November 1 Blu-Ray release. The survey has got the fans excited about the upcoming crossovers. After DC and IDW teamed up last year for the highly successful crossover of "The Dark Knight" and "Heroes in a Half Shell", the expectations for this team are high.
