The most awaited "Delena" reunion between Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may not happen. A recent report suggests that Somerhalder is avoiding his ex's return to The CW series at all costs in order to avoid marriage troubles with his wife, Nikki Reed.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Somerhalder is keen on starting a family with Reed, but the latter refuses to get pregnant because of her plans to advance her career in the industry. This is said to be putting a strain on Somerhalder and Reed's marriage.

Add this to rumors that Somerhalder and Reed are already fighting over Dobrev's possible return in "TVD" Season 8. This may explain the reason behind Somerhalder's recent comments about Elena Gilbert's return to Mystic Falls in the series finale of "The Vampire Diaries."

"These guys have ruined her life, yet everybody wants her to end up with one of them" he told TVLine.

Somerhalder shared that Elena does not deserve to be with Damon or Stefan in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. No matter how convincing Somerhalder's explanation may be, fans believe that it is Reed talking, not Somerhalder.

One fan commented that Somerhalder shared in previous interviews that Delena should be the endgame in "The Vampire Diaries." Since he and Reed got married, however, Somerhalder seemed to put off any idea of sharing the same screen with his ex-girlfriend.
