‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 3 Premiere Recap: Michael Is Alive, Anezka Is Determined To Take Down Rafael

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 premiered with an intense drama at the St. Ignatius Hospital where Michael was fighting for his life while Jane and her whole family were waiting in the lobby. Petra is also in the same hospital, paralyzed, while her twin Anezka who is disguised as her is planning to take down Rafael with her mother. The police, on the other hand, are now investigating to find out who shot Michael during his supposed honeymoon with Jane.

The first episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 told the story of how Jane started dating Michael. It was an episode filled with memories of Jane and Michael together while Jane struggled to remain calm despite Michael's condition. Additionally, Jane was also having a hard time with Patricia, Michael's mother, as she seemed to be taking it out on Jane.

However, Xo was not able to keep her calm on "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 when she noticed that Patricia was rude to Jane. Xo left to take a walk and saw Rogelio standing outside holding a cup which she discovered to be filled with urine. Rogelio explained that he will be giving his urine to two men for drug testing in exchange for the paparazzi image that they were about to post on Twitter.

Rogelio wanted to keep the privacy of Jane and Michael's life on "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. He is also sad about what happened to Michael as he treats Michael as a friend. However, during the conversation, Xo revealed that she is pregnant which surprised Rogelio because apparently, it is not his child.

Meanwhile, the premiere episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 also revealed that Anezka is working with her mother to take down Rafael. This is the reason why Anezka paralyzed her sister. The real Petra, unfortunately, is still in the hospital while nobody knows about her sister's dirty secret on "Jane the Virgin" Season 3.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 premiere episode ended with Michael recuperating from his gunshot wound. The police also got some clues from Rafael about the person behind the shooting in the hotel. Surprisingly, the investigation led to no other than Sin Rostro.
