Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Will Not Release In October; Early 2017 Might Welcome?

The Microsoft Event on Oct. 26 in New York might not be for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release. The event will mainly focus on Xbox and Windows 10 operating system.

Microsoft Event will focus on Windows 10, specifically, the Redmond-based company will share insights on the cloud-based solutions that the new OS will offer. Microsoft will also focus on developments of Xbox and will allow users to access to Microsoft account on desktops, smartphone and notebooks as per Tech Times.

Another reason for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release in 2017 would be the installation of Intel's next-generation Kaby Lake processors and chipsets into the devices, which will take time as per PC Advisor. There are a number of rumors on the unveiling of Surface Pro 5 this October as the Surface Pro 4 was released in October 2015.

Earlier rumors claimed Surface Pro 5 release in May and sale in June this year, but within 12 months of the release of Surface Pro 4, getting a new device certainly did not make sense. However, the Oct. 26 event would complete 12 months, ignited the minds of fans for its release.

There are also speculations on the "end" of one of the Surface devices, it could be Surface 4, Surface Book 2 or Surface All-in-One. If Surface Pro 5 releases, then it is expected to come with Surface Pen, a new rechargeable battery with wireless charger.

The device is expected to come equipped with Intel's Kaby Lake processor. The display would offer two options to users: a 2K screen and a 4K screen. Surface Pro 5 might have 16GB of RAM and a USB Type-C port.

As tech market has pulled down the price of Surface Pro 4, the Surface Pro 5 must be round the corner. Stay tuned for more updates.
