Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Divorce Update: Ex-Bodyguard Shares He 'Fathered' Kids, Ex-Couple Had 'Low Common Sense'

During the husband-and-wife days of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, one British ex-bodyguard has stood as a father to the famous Jolie-Pitt kids. This has long been the setup as the former A-list couple were too afraid of the kids being kidnapped.

Mark Billingham told The Sun via Daily Mail of how much he treated Jolie and Pitt's brood of six--Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, 8--as his own. Billingham was hired by the former golden couple of Hollywood to protect their kids from stalkers and possible nabbers.

Billingham, who has been formerly a member of the British Army, watched out for the Jolie-Pitt kids for nearly 18 months. Throughout the course of his stay as the family's head of security, the bond that he and the kids made created a difference in the life of Billingham as he somewhat became their foster father.

In a statement, Billingham told the publication that it was such a heart-warming experience he felt that he "fathered them, basically." The 52-year-old former Army member has been deeply trusted by Jolie and Pitt that he can take out the kids wherever he wants to. Meanwhile, other security officials of the family can only look at the kids as they are off-limits when it comes to physical contact.

The ex-bodyguard did not only watch out for the kids as he was once task to keep stalkers at bay for the "By The Sea" on-screen couple. Moreover, the bodyguard noticed one strange thing between the couple as he is tasked to make sure the couple looks presentable together. Billingham said that they had low levels of common sense.

"I found it crazy when they would ask me questions like, 'How do I go down to that bar?' and 'What do I need to do to get there?'" Billingham shared as reported by Tribute. "They're not stupid, but because of the world they live in they just haven't done something like that for so long. I found that weird."

As previously reported by Parent Herald, Jolie and Pitt became over when the "Maleficent" star ended their 13-year relationship. No word yet has been spoken of why the couple ended their million-dollar marriage.
