'Destiny's Child' Star Kelly Rowland on Son & Husband: 'My family is My Number One Priority'

Kelly Rowland had another reason to celebrate the Fourth of July this year, as her son, Titan, has just turned eight months old. Like any mother, the former member of Destiny's Child was in high spirits as she talked about her baby's milestones.

"He is trying to walk right now—he probably lifts up on anything he can," Rowland said via E! Online. "He tries and he is doing well! He is the most amazing human being I am so grateful that God made me a part of his journey in life so I am blessed."

The singer welcomed Titan Jewell with her husband, Tim Witherspoon, last November 4, and despite all the other blessings pouring IN her career, Kelly said that her family is her primary focus. "I know Tim and Titan are the No. 1 priority, then it's music, and after that is everything else. My son and my husband are the greatest thing that happened to me," Kelly told People.

Surely, the entertainer has never been busier. By fall, her new TV series, "Chasing Destiny," will premiere on BET. The reality TV competition will have Kelly mentoring and searching for the next hot singing girl group. "I think each generation should be better than the last, and I really want to put together a group: I feel there's one just out there waiting to be discovered, and I want to be the one to do it," the artist said, via Entertainment Weekly.

The 34-year-old has also recently wrapped up a guest spot on "Empire," network television's hottest drama series, which will return on Fox for season two in September. It's only a two-episode appearance, but the show may still need Kelly back for future episodes, according to Mirror.

She's also reportedly working on her fifth album, under a new label and company, according to Rap-Up. Kelly is also keen on getting into a new business, possibly a clothing line for babies. Her son had been her inspiration for this, according to the E! report.

With all these work committments keeping her super busy, on top of being a mom and wife, Kelly said that she and Tim have no plans for a second child just yet. "I am almost at my goal weight after this baby. I want to give it another three years. I absolutely want to give him a brother or sister—just one more I will have. Just not right now," she told E!
