‘Major Crimes’ Season 5 Cast & News: Daniel DiTomasso To Play As [Spoilers]; Season 6 A Sure Go?

TNT's "Major Crimes" has added a new cast member, booking Daniel DiTomasso. The news came amid cancellation rumors that the series' Season 5 would be its last.

"Witches of East End" star Daniel DiTomasso has booked a role in "Major Crimes," which is currently in its mid-season break. According to Deadline, Daniel DiTomasso will be playing the character named Wes.

Wes is an undercover cop who spent the last seven years entrenched in a white supremacist group. The said group will aid the Major Crimes Team in bringing the Z Brotherhood down.

"Major Crimes" is a procedural show that follows the story of a special unit of the Los Angeles Police Department detectives who are responsible for dealing with high-profile crimes.

Aside from "Major Crimes," Daniel DiTomasso is going to have a packed schedule, having signed for roles in "Timeless" on NBC and "Good Girls Revolt" on Amazon.

Meanwhile, there were rumors that emerged that "Major Crimes" Season 5 would be the series finale when it returns next year. This is despite the fact that the network has ordered additional episodes of the current season, which speculations suggest that it would be just enough to give "Major Crimes" a proper conclusion. "Major Crimes" Season 5 Episode 13 wrapped up some major emotional story lines, although it ended with a cliffhanger.

Still, many fans are counting on seeing "Major Crimes" renewed for Season 6 given its strong performance this season. "Major Crimes" Season 5 saw a 95 percent growth in its performance in key demographics since moving to its later time slot at 10 p.m., as reported by MajorCrimesTV.net.

"Major Crimes" Season 5 ended the summer with a bang, attracting 3.10 million viewers during the finale. It was the first time it was able to go head to head with Monday Night Football and fall premiere episodes of other shows. With that, things are looking good for "Major Crimes" Season 6.
