'Scandal' Producer Paul David Williams Teams Up With ABC For A New Drama Series

ABC announced that they will be partnering with Shondaland and Paul Davies Williams for another major project. It was recently revealed that ABC is in the works with the "Scandal" producer to come up with a drama.

The writer- producer of the well-loved soap, "Scandal" is currently in the works with ABC. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the upcoming series will be set in the Southern District of New York Federal Court. The upcoming legal drama's premiere date is yet to be confirmed, but its storyline is already revealed.

The series will revolve around the stories within The Mother Court as some of the cases would intertwine, connecting the reaction of both the defense and prosecution parties. It will also feature several cases of high-profiles individuals and the country's biggest cases involving corporate companies. The untitled soap is already in the works as they will be part of the ABC's competing legal drama soaps including "Scandal," and "How To Get Away With Murder."

Variety then made a follow-up report announcing that the upcoming legal drama would not only be produced by Paul William Davis, but it was also announced that Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers will executive produce the upcoming series. If ABC will finally air the upcoming series, it was reported that it would be David's sixth Shondaland series for the network. Aside from the upcoming series, there are several shows that are bound to make their follow-up premiere on ABC.

The romantic drama, "Still Star-Crossed," "Scandal 6," and the second season of "The Catch" is bound to make a comeback. As for his existing shows, however, "Grey's Anatomy" and "How to Get Away with Murder " are currently on air.
