Wife's Pregnancy and Becoming A Good Husband All The Way Through

Pregnancy is a critical stage for a woman as she is extremely hormonal and would undergo different levels of pain, which is why a husband should be extra careful and a bit more understanding in dealing with their pregnant wife. Thus, knowing how to become a good husband is critical during the said stage.

Husbands should be the main support system that their wives should have at the critical point of their lives because what their wives are carrying is probably going to be the joy that they will have for the rest of their lives. They need to have an open mind when it comes to their wives especially since they are extra sensitive at this point. Husbands would also have to understand that there are some activities that their wives could no longer do albeit temporarily.

Art of Manliness advises husbands to actually accompany their wives on doctors' appointments as it shows wives that their husbands are totally with them for the next 9 months, and that it also keeps them updated about the ongoing pregnancy, so they would know how to help. For some reason, it also creates some sort of father-baby bond as seeing the baby via ultrasound creates an unexplainable attachment between the two.

Meanwhile, Health Guidance acknowledged the fact that women may not be able to do most of the household work, and thus husbands should be used to doing mostly the work normally done by wives. These pregnant women would also require extra attention and care so thus these husbands have to start treating their wives like a legitimate queen.

Overall, the best role of the husband is to be the understanding figure of their pregnant wives as women may be irrational at certain times of the month due to the pregnancy. Perhaps, this is the best thing that husbands could do as the pain of bearing the child and childbirth are one of the painful things a woman can experience in her life, and this understanding is a bit of sacrifice to indulge into.
