Matt LeBlanc's 'Man With A Plan' Series Premiere: New Comedy Panned By Critics [Reviews, Plot, Air Date & Cast]

Matt LeBlanc achieved his fame with "Friends" over 20 years ago and the actor returns to doing sitcoms via "Man With a Plan." The family comedy series premieres on Monday, Oct. 24, at 8:30 p.m. on CBS, but unlike the actor's formerly widely popular show, "Man With a Plan" has been panned by critics. Will the audience approve it though?

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Matt LeBlanc's "Man With a Plan" has presented one of the worst pilot episodes in this season's crop of new series. Created by Jeff and Jackie Filgo, the show is about a husband who takes over household duties when his wife decides to go back to work.

USA Today cites that "Man With a Plan" has tired jokes and a dated premise due that can be chalked up to bad writing. But the review is hopeful that the show will eventually find its rhythm and the co-stars develop a comedic timing with each other.

We Got This Covered  states plainly that "Man Wth a Plan" is not great. So far, the series has earned a 38 rating on Metacritic, based on 10 early reviews. But Matt LeBlanc is quite excited about the being on the show as he said this is the first time he's doing a parenting comedy. "It's the first time ever I'm playing a dad and a guy in a relationship, let alone a married guy. So for me it's new territory," he said per New York Post.

Apart from Matt LeBlanc, "Man With a Plan" also stars Liza Snyder as the wife and Kevin Nealon as the brother. Grace Kaufman, Hala Finley and Matt Cook play the kids.

"Friends" fans are hoping that eventually, "Man With a Plan" will reunite Matt LeBlanc with his best buddy Matthew Perry who literally films his sitcom "The Odd Couple" on the next site in the studios. The two shows are also carried by CBS. Matt Le Blanc told TV Guide that he's up for a crossover if "the story is right" and declares that he loves working with his former co-star.
