Apple’s iPhone 7 Catches Fire In Australia; Burns The Entire Car Interiors

Following the numerous instances of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 catching fire, the Apple's iPhone 7 is now the latest phone to be in the news for an explosion due to overheating. An Australian surfer who owns an iPhone 7 claims that his Apple iPhone 7 burnt and destroyed the interiors of his car after he conducted surfing lessons.

According to a report by International Business Times, surf instructor Mat Jones had left his Apple's iPhone 7 under a pile of clothes before heading out for his surf sessions. After completing his sessions, he returned to the car and was shocked to find the vehicle filled with smoke. He suspects that the iPhone 7 overheated, unable to endure the beach heat. The car's interiors along with the clothes were completely burnt due to the explosion of iPhone 7.

Jones said, "As I looked into my car, I could not see the inside of the car. All the windows were completely blackened. On opening the car, I noticed that ash was coming from just inside the pants. Upon unwrapping the pants, I found my iPhone 7 melting inside it."

Surprisingly, Mat Jones had purchased the Apple's iPhone 7 just a week ago and also claimed that he had never dropped the iPhone even once. Also, he did not use any third party charger for his iPhone 7. He alleged that the cause of the fire was definitely the iPhone 7's battery, which exploded due to overheating.

Reports by Tech First Post indicate that Apple is aware of the debacle that has occurred and has promised to look into the issue. Apple's iPhones, which have been the undisputed king in the world of smartphones, exploding comes as a shock to people all over. With Samsung Galaxy Note 7 already garnering widespread criticism due to several instances of explosion and burns, will Apple be the next big name to join the bandwagon?
