Fossil Group Hybrid Smartwatches Released: Sleek Analog Design Targeting the Younger Generation

Fossil Group is now aiming to dominate the smartwatch market with their own line of wearables that can compete with other hybrid smartwatches released by other companies.

Right after the announcement of Misfit Inc. planning to release their first hybrid smartwatch, Fossil Group has released hybrid smartwatches for Michael Kors, Chaps, Emporio Armani, and Diesel in line with their connected device collection. With a few taps on the interface, users can get delivery notifications and track fitness thanks to the conventional analog watch display.

The Fossil Group's brand Q line was released back in 2015 and it includes Android Wear watches. Fossil Group started its trend towards the wearable market with their acquisition of Misfit the previous year.

The company was at the forefront of the industry even before Apple launched the Apple Watch and prior to other companies first producing up-to-date fitness trackers. Ever since, Fossil modified most of the technology used by Misfit Inc. that was added to its wearables and Misfit also took notice of the trend and followed suit with its parent company's agenda.

The fashion industry has been familiar with the Fossil Group brand since the 1980s and their target customers have always been the younger generation. The company has made watches for famous fashion houses all across the globe, and now, it has noticed that the latest trend towards smartwatches is catching fire.

But lately the smartwatch market is having difficulty securing a more mainstream success in the same league as the iPhone for Apple. So now Fossil is trying their luck with the more traditional style of analog watches that customers are familiar with, but now it has a twist because it's been upgraded to a hybrid smartwatch device.

The delegates of Fossil Group have said that each brand under the company's umbrella has a specific task when it comes to crafting the hybrid smartwatch in order to bring about the hybrid aspect of the timepiece. A lot of research was done in order to match the consumer's behavior pattern when it comes to using hybrid smartwatches.
