'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 2 Cast News & Updates: Broadway Star Patti LuPone To Guest, Josh-Rebecca-Greg Love Triangle Builds Up

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" has snagged a theater icon and Broadway star for a special guest appearance in Season 2. Patti LuPone, the two-time Tony Awards winner, will be gracing the show as a pivotal character.

It was "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" semi-regular Tovah Feldshuh who revealed Patti LuPone's participation in the second season, according to Playbill. The actress, who play Rebecca Bunch's mom in the series, posted a photo of herself with Patti LuPone on her Facebook.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" co-creator and star, Rachel Bunch, confirmed the news of Patti LuPone's guest stint on her Twitter account as well. The Broadway star will appear in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 Episode 10 as a "pivotal person" in Rebecca's life whom she sees during her visit back home, according to UPI.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" has had incredible guest stars before like Lea Salonga, Ricki Lake and Amber Riley. This season, aside from LuPone, the show is also bringing in "Pitch Perfect's" Brittney Snow and "Jane the Virgin's" Yael Grobglas, as Parent Herald previously reported.

Meanwhile, a fresh "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 episode will air this Friday, Oct. 28, on The CW. It will feature Rebecca trying to show just how cool she is when it comes to sports to Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III). On the other hand, Greg (Santino Fontana) will continue to struggle with his alcoholism. This was revealed in the second season premiere of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."

The love triangle with Josh-Rebecca-Greg will build up this season as she continues to believe Josh loves her, while Greg tries to get over her. Changes will also be the central theme to "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 and fans should expect more daring musical numbers to top the previous ones that were already done in the show.
