Amber Tamblyn Is A Soon-To-Be First-Time-Mom, Announces She And Husband David Cross Are Expecting A Baby Girl

Amber Tamblyn and David Cross are set to welcome their first bundle of joy together. The "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" announced that she is pregnant with a baby girl.

Amber Tamblyn made the announcement about her first child with David Cross via an Opinion-Editorial piece for Glamour magazine on Wednesday. She shared in the article that she has been thinking about motherhood a lot as of late adding, "What it means to be one, what it means to have one, what it means to know one, what it means to make decisions as one and have conversations as one." Amber Tamblyn said that motherhood has been on her mind because she is going to be a mother soon.

The opinion-editorial, however, was not about her journey to motherhood but about her concern regarding her child growing up in the United States. She first talked about a run-in with an abusive ex-boyfriend, which she revealed via an Instagram post earlier this month.

The revelation from Amber Tamblyn comes after Donald Trump's controversial comments in a 2005 leaked audio tape was released wherein he talked about groping women, E! News reported.The actress also shared that she is lucky to be surrounded by strong mothers such as her own mom and her best friends who are also mothers.

In her Glamour op-ed article, Amber Tamblyn added that she thinks constantly about the world she will be bringing her daughter in to. Additionally, she also thinks a lot about how to change the way women are seen as well as the language used to talk about women, Us Weekly reported.

Tamblyn continued to appeal to the readers that she is not writing the opinion-editorial to convince people to vote for the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton but she is asking the readers to rethink women in general. Amber Tamblyn added that she is just not voting for a woman but she is voting for a revolutionary idea and a future for her daughter.

Amber Tamblyn and David Cross have been married since October 2012 and this will be their first time to welcome a baby. As of writing, it is unclear how far along Amber Tamblyn is and when is her due date.
