'Overwatch' Season 3, Sombra Reveal Date, Latest News Update: What's Coming To Season 3 & ARG Character To Introduce At BlizzCon 2016?

"Overwatch" Season 3 will be witnessed with an extensive revamp after Season 2 ends on Nov. 24. One of the good news is that Blizzard won't keep "Overwatch" fans hanging for too long as Season 3 will commence a week after the second installment ends, Dec. 1.

Per Game Spot, the changes in "Overwatch" Season 3 include skills rating. Since the gaming company wanted "Overwatch" players to give a sense of a fresher start, they are faced with a problem on how to handle things fairly. Should Blizzard reset ratings anew, it will be unfair for top gamers to just lose their hard-earned rating, and most likely, there will be mismatches as they will be playing against low-level gamers.

Hence, the better option for Blizzard is to go with what is fair without compromising much for the other "Overwatch" players. "We're leaning more towards trying to keep things fair rather than giving everyone a fresh start. We're also going to initially tune your SR to be slightly lower to start," head designer Scott Mercer told the publication. "In turn, fewer players should start the season having their skill rating drastically drop despite having close to even wins and losses."

Moreover, the change in skill ratings management would mean that some players will not end up in the same tier they were in "Overwatch" Season 2. Initially, skill rating loots will be a bit higher but will continue to normalize until the player gets through enough matches.

Meanwhile, another thing to be anticipated for "Overwatch" is the reveal of the much-awaited character, Sombra. Blizzard has been keeping the players' eyes peeled on to the ARG character and has been giving mind-bending teases non-stop. Just recently, a Mayan Calendar numeral surfaced that leads to an admin page of LumeriCo.mx, to which its relevance to Sombra is yet to be decoded by "Overwatch" hardcore fanatics.

Per Mic, it is possible that Sombra might be introduced after the "inauguration" as stated in LumeriCo page, Nov. 1, making sense that Blizzard might be revealing it during BlizzCon 2016. Blizzard's event will happen on Nov. 4.
