17-Year Old Model, Selena Forrest, Living Her Dream; Newcomer Discovered While Getting Busted For Alcohol

Selena Forrest had a tough life before she reached stardom in the Modelling realm. Her family jumped from city to city before they finally ended up in Los Angeles. Many still do not know that she got discovered in the middle of getting busted for carrying alcohol on a beach trip.

The 5-foot-10 beauty was traveling that time with brother and cousins when a security guard stopped them to check out the ice chest. That time, a lady walked out of a restaurant and asked the young tall girl if she is interested of becoming a model. And that's where everything began.

Forrest was skeptical at first and brushed her off, which she later was regretful about as she felt like an "a-hole" after that happened. However the said scout woman, eventually put Forrest in touch with her agency, LA Models. Forrest had braces that time and saw it as a setback. Crazy thing she did was getting a pair of pliers removed them herself!

Modelling is apparently for Forrest as all her efforts paid off. In February, Forrest scored a contract from the famous "Next Models", which reps Kate Upton a few months after opening Proenza Schouler's spring 2016 New York Fashion Week show.

"I was excited but also supernervous," Forrest said in an interview with New York Post. "I'm a really shy person - well, I used to be. And my knees were shaking before the show." She added.

Forrest thought that the past year-and-a-half of her life being an anonymous high schooler and living like a nomad with her family was a blessing in the making. Now she is living a dream that is very unusual for a 17-year older lady.

A total of 52 catwalks and still counting, Forrest is blessed. She is looking forward to having a foundation for teenagers who need support outside the home.
