iPhone 8 To Have Three New Versions When Apple Launches Next Year? Specs And Features Here!

Following a decline in the sales of the Apple iPhones in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, Apple has insinuated the launch of three new models of the next version of iPhone. The iPhone 8 will be rolled out next year in three different sizes of display, i.e. 4.7-inch, 5-inch and 5.5-inch flagships.

According to popular reports by Nikkei, Apple has planned on releasing the mid-range screen size of the iPhone, which was never a part of earlier iPhones--the 5-inch screened iPhone. All the three models of the iPhone 8 are expected to be backed by glass covers placed in metal casings.

It is rumored that the next iPhone by Apple is slated for release to coincide with its 10th anniversary next year. Speaking on the configuration of the device, Apple's head of design, Jony Ive said, "We are expecting the next year's iPhone to have a wireless charging, no home button and a 2.5D curved glass screen which will be a deviation from the traditional Apple's iPhone models." He reportedly wants the iPhone to look like a single sheet of glass. It is also speculated that the aluminum body of the Apple's iPhone will be replaced by stainless steel, according to reports by Business Insider.

The current plans for the iPhone 8 model include a "glass sandwich" chassis, which incorporates an AMOLED display. Other fallback designs are also being explored, and the primary structural tests that have been conducted on early prototypes of the iPhone have turned out to be successful.

Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed that the demand for the phablet is far outstripping the supply of the products. While he maintained that he was confident of successful sales of the iPhone 7, he remained skeptical about the success of the iPhone 7 Plus.

Reports by Apple Insider indicate that the 5-inch iPhone, which is a middle-road approach, is still being deliberated by Apple. Since there would be little difference in terms of usability and features, the manufacturers are not sure how much of a benefit would this approach reap.

It would be interesting to see if Apple decides to stick to the two standard sizes of iPhone that have been ruling the market or dares to experiment with a brand new mid-sized iPhone 8.
