'Supernatural' Season 12 News, Cast Updates, Spoilers: 'The Walking Dead' Alum Alicia Witt Joins Show

"Supernatural" showrunner Andrew Dabb previously said that fans will see more of Castiel's (Misha Collins) story this season of "Supernatural." True to his words, a former "The Walking Dead" star has actually revealed she would be joining the show to play someone from Castiel's past.

Alicia Witt, an alum of "The Walking Dead" is set to join season 12 of "Supernatural." She announced the said news on her Twitter post.

Alicia Witt is in Vancouver according to TVLine where she is shooting for "Supernatural." She remains tight-lipped about her role but she did say enough for fans of "Supernatural" to speculate.

According to Alicia Witt, her character has a relationship to Castiel. Nonetheless, "The Walking Dead" alum did not specify what relationship that is and what her character will do in "Supernatural."

However, it has been reported that Alicia Witt will play Castiel's old enemy named Lily Sunder. Although it's far from angelic, a lot of fans are assuming she would be an angel or perhaps another supernatural creature to have gained enemy like Castiel.

Alicia Witt is said to appear in "Supernatural" for an episode. But with Alicia Witt's excitement and her role in "Supernatural," it is likely she would be another recurring character. For how long is what remains to be the question.

Before "Supernatural," Alicia Witt was known for her role as Savior villain Paula in "The Walking Dead." The actress has to actually cancel her appearance at Atlanta's Walker Stalker Con due to her being in Vancouver for "Supernatural."

Alicia Witt did apologize to her fans for not making it in Atlanta at the same Twitter video.

Alicia Witt also had recurring roles on "Nashville" on ABC and FX's "Justified." She will also reprise her role as Gersten Hayward on the upcoming "Twin Peaks" revival from Showtime.

Alicia Witt's fans are pretty much excited to see her in the The CW hit series "Supernatural."
