"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is snowballing and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) may reunite with Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) as a killer. While Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder may battle it out on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Caroline Forbes (Candice King) may find their wedding turned into a bloodbath.

As TVLine recaps, Mystic Falls is now under the spell of Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) and "The Vampire Diaries" is tellingly setting up for a twist. While Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes may have given "Steroline" fans hope in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 2 with the unexpected marriage proposal, "TVD" is not a good place for happies.

A June wedding for Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes has been a hope among "Steroline" fans, but problems in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may bleed into their wedding. With Sybil and Damon still on the loose, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may have its own Red Wedding if Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes attempts an official "Till death do us part," for "Steroline."

Just as in the Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder reunion, a shadow looms over a believable happy ever after for Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes. Buzz says Candice King will be switching over to "The Originals" once "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 rolls the final credits as Parent Herald cites.

Although Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes could move into "The Originals" space together, "Steroline" could more likely end with "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Incidentally, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have also been buzzed to crossover to "The Originals."

If and when Nina Dobrev does awaken as Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, the reason may be to kill Damon Salvatore rather than find happiness with him. Celeb Dirty Laundry proposes that the angle for Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder on their characters may lead to Elena Gilbert offering death to Damon Salvatore and him being all too happy to accept.
