It has been a week since the most renowned basketball league around the planet, NBA has tipped-off, and player moves and rumors are already coming out even in this young season.

In the latest updates of the NBA's possible trades, three big names are already being thrown with Philadelphia 76ers' big man, Nerlens Noel, Minnesota Timberwolves main point guard, Ricky Rubio and Sacramento Kings' shooter and small forward, Rudy Gay who is now included in the list.

Bleacher Report in an article said that the Rudy Gay, who is a former player for gold medalist of the USA Basketball would likely opt out his contract for the next season. Adrian Wojnarowski, writer of The Vertical confirmed this statement as he said that Gay will unlikely return to one of the biggest fan-base franchise, Sacramento Kings. The versatile small forward averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals per game and shooting at a high percentage of 46.3 percent per match up during the 2015-2016 season.

The trade speculations have started even before the NBA season officially began. However, Gay's reiterated that he is only focused on playing the game one-day-at-a-time. He said in a report by ESPN, "I'm with the Sacramento Kings. I prepare as if I'm going to be with the Sacramento Kings. I have no choice but to work for the Sacramento Kings."

Rudy Gay is not unfamiliar to this kind of situation, as he has been moved to three different teams over the past five years. He formerly played for the Memphis Grizzlies and the Toronto Raptors.

Kings Coach, Dave Joerger downplayed the rumors and gave high praise to Gay's leadership and development as a player. However, Joerger emphasizes that winning for the ball club is what they are all looking for as a team. He said, "He (Gay) likes it here (Sacramento)...We all want to win a little bit more. There's going to be rumors."
