‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ News: Eddie Redmayne Perfected Wand Wielding Skills With The Help Of Harry Potter Trio

In the world of Harry Potter, the wand chooses the wizard that would wield it. But who would have thought that wielding a wand in the right way requires so much effort? "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" actor, Eddie Redmayne shares his experience in wand-wielding with the help from the famous trio of Harry Potter.

During a Q&A at EWPopfest in L.A, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" stars Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston was asked about what they'd advise themselves if they could go back on the first day of wand rehearsals. Eddie Redmayne who plays Newt Scamander in "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" answered that he'd advised himself to relax.

The Oscar-winning actor also said that the tension was really high when he picked up his wand. The "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" actor also shared that all the actors for the movie had wand sessions and it all was really funny. Co-star Katherine Waterston who will play in "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" added that having the right kind of wand helped her in acting out the swishing and flicking wand movements.

Eddie Redmayne also interjected that after his somewhat disastrous first day, he should have taken the time to watch Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson did in the films. Daniel, Rupert, Emma are the biggest stars of the Harry Potter films. The three played Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger respectively.

Last Friday, Eddie Redmayne showed off his magic skills. During the Graham Norton Show, Eddie Redmayne stepped up and performed a trick with a blank coloring book. The "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" actor even took out his wand as he enthusiastically performed another more difficult trick. Clearly, the wand sessions he took paid off!
