'The Americans' Season 5 Spoilers, News & Update: Back In Russia? Showrunners Talk End Game For Keri Russell-Matthew Rhys Spy Show [PHOTOS]

"The Americans" Season 5 is returning to Russia. Photos from the set, where filming has started since late September, have been leaked on social media to reveal how production has turned a location into the Moscow airport. Meanwhile, "The Americans" showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg talk about where the show is heading now that its end on FX has been determined.

Eager fans of "The Americans" have been sharing photos from the set as production is underway. The cast and crew have been filming in Queens College in New York, where part of the site has been designed as the interior of a Moscow airport. One fan also shared what looked like the immigrations section, via Instagram.

Whether this indicates that the Jennings are traveling back to Russia or Philip's (Matthew Rhys) adult son, Mischa, is finally leaving the motherland to reunite with his father is still undetermined. What's certain is that Russia will figure in "The Americans" Season 5 as it did in Season 3. Below are more photos from "The Americans" Russia set.

Meanwhile, showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg, along with "The Americans" stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter for an exclusive. Though no specifics were discussed regarding the upcoming season, the showrunners said that they have a clear direction for "The Americans" Season 5.

"Because we write so far in advance, we actually have the opportunity to be more improvisatory and that may sound bizarre," Fields told the news outlet. They also revealed that they have already had an idea for the show's end game, especially since FX has already confirmed that "The Americans" will end in Season 6, Bustle reports.

At the writers' office, there's a calendar that maps out specific timelines to what happens in "The Americans," which pretty much dictates the show's framework. "We are obsessed with the real timeline in which our fictional characters are living," the producers confirmed.

"The Americans" Season 5 will premiere on FX in early 2017. Meanwhile, watch the producers and the stars discuss the show in the panel interview below.
