Microsoft On Their Defense Against Russian Hackers Exploiting Windows Flaw; Patch To Be Released In November

A hacking group that was hypothetically connected beforehand to the government of Russia and the United States political hacks was sought by Microsoft Corp. The company is speculating that they are accountable for the recent cyber outbreaks which shaken a recently unprotected security of Windows according to DNA India.

The hacking group was known as Strontium, which is more broadly identified as "Fancy Bears," or APT 28 who used "spear phishing" emails according to the software maker in an advisory on its website and he said that there had been only a small number of outbreaks. Microsoft Corp. did not identify any victims.

Last month, hacking and exposing during the election season against e-mails and other communications of the Democratic Party was openly accused by the U.S. government to the Russian government. Russia retaliated with a strong denial of the accusation.

On Nov. 8, Microsoft Corp. publicized that for the protection and security of each and every Windows users from the newly discovered threat, a patch will be available. Although there are speculations that Windows vulnerability maybe had been previously done in any of the recent United States political hacks but until now, it is still not clear if really happened.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft Corp. mentioned that outbreaks oppressed a weakness in Adobe's software and a part on the operating system of Windows. Adobe later on released a patch for the said vulnerability on Monday, after Google investigators informed the public with facts on the outbreak.

Google as the rival of Microsoft was rebuked for informing the public with facts of the weaknesses and that they were not given an ample time to fix the said susceptibilities. Microsoft Corp also said that Google's decision to disclose these vulnerabilities before the said remedy could be available and tested is very drastic and careless, and puts their customers in a very risky situation but was later left unattended by Google.
