‘Scream Queens’ Season 2 Episode 5 Spoilers: New Sneak Peek Teases Unhinged Nurse Hoffel; Is She The Green Meanie?

Kirstie Alley's Nurse Hoffel is about to undergo a major change in Season 2 of "Scream Queens." The actress recently teased an unhinged version of her character in Fox's comedy horror TV series.

Alley told TVLine in an exclusive behind-the-scenes preview that she would like to see Nurse Hoffel "come fully unglued" on "Scream Queens" Season 2. She added that an unhinged Nurse Hoffel "would be fun to play."

This led to speculations that Nurse Hoffel could be the Green Meanie, the new serial killer on "Scream Queens." Past theories pointed out that Nurse Hoffel's character isn't exactly nice given how she antagonizes the Chanels, telling the girls that they are not medical professionals and she doesn't like how they walk around the hospital pretending that they know things, according to Romper.

Nurse Hoffel being the Green Meanie is also hinted by how she seems to have been spying on people, especially Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis). There are speculations as well that the pregnant wife from the "Scream Queens" flashback was Nurse Hoffel and she's bent on vengeance against the hospital for the death of her husband, whose body was dumped in a swamp by a doctor and a nurse 30 years ago.

A Reddit user, however, theorized that a different person is behind the Green Meanie identity on "Scream Queens" but puts Nurse Hoffel in an accomplice role. The theory from the Reddit user speculated that Grace (Skyler Samuels) is the Green Meanie and she wants to exact revenge on the Chanels for their cruelty on her. Grace has been absent in Season 2 of "Scream Queens" so far but if this rumor is true, it seems that she's still very much present in the show -- albeit in a disguise.

The Redditor added that Grace is Hester's (Lea Michele) biological sister and is probably being manipulated by the latter to kill with the assistance of Nurse Hoffel and Melanie Dorkus (Brianne Howey). This possible "Scream Queens" arc also explains why Hester has so much knowledge about the murders.

In the upcoming "Scream Queens" episode, C.U.R.E. Institute will see "a surprising influx of new patients," while Chanel (Emma Roberts) will enact a plan to recruit new patients into the Chanels, TV.com reported. Zayday (KeKe Palmer) and Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin) will pay a visit to someone connected with the institute's past.
