HTC 10 Evo (Bolt) Release Date & Specs: New Press Renders Leaked; Silver And Black Colors To Hit Markets On Nov. 18?

HTC looks all set to release its upcoming phone, which will be sold under the name "Bolt" or HTC 10 Evo. Press leaks have revealed the look of the phone in silver and black color.

It is speculated that HTC will be using both the names, each of which will be specific to certain markets. According to reports by GSM Arena, the HTC 10 Evo will be a 5.5-inch display device with 2560 x 1440-pixel touchscreen. The device comes with a primary camera of 18 megapixels, 4K video recording, a dual LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device is configured by a 3GB RAM and has an expandable storage of 64GB. The HTC Bolt is expected to run on Android Nougat 7.0 and it boasts of a fingerprint scanner that is fixed below the display.

Recently, images of the black colored model of the HTC 10 Evo were found doing rounds on the internet. A promotional material for the HTC 10 Evo or the HTC Bolt insinuates that the phone will be launched in the United States on Nov. 11 through Sprint. However, it is expected to also be available worldwide through different dealers.

Phones Review cites that the HTC 10 Evo will be available with an IP 57 certification. This essentially indicates that the phone is capable of enduring hazards such as immersion in water. Manufacturers of the phone claim that the user can submerge the phone in three feet water for half an hour and still expect the phone to work. In addition, the 3.5mm headphone jack will be absent from the HTC 10 Evo. The user must connect the headphones through the USB port C itself.

It seems like HTC has been borrowing ideas from the Apple's iPhone 7 though the phone is speculated to resemble the HTC 10 very closely in terms of specifications. The price and release date of the phone are yet to be officially confirmed by the Taiwanese company.
