All You Need To Know About Microsoft’s Creators Update

In a press event organized earlier this week, Microsoft launched the Creators update for Windows 10 and introduced a wide range of features in the latest version of Windows 10.

According to reports by The Verge, the Microsoft Word application has been modified to incorporate pen support. The user will be able to manipulate and delete text in an easier way and comments can be left on the documents using ink. Also, the users are now provided with an option to custom color the Windows taskbar. The preview of the color is available to help users identify if the color goes with the chosen wallpaper.

Microsoft has also displayed the feature of people integration into the Windows 10 taskbar. This enables the user to quickly send skype messages and e-mails to favorite contacts. Switch between Skype and e-mail will be available in the same window. With this approach, Microsoft is looking to bring in the concept of "place people at the center of Windows. The feature will be termed as 'My People'. It allows the sharing of media quickly along with an option to add in annotations, notes and more.

Interestingly, a new range of short emoticons called "Shoulder Taps" has been unveiled. These icons help the user send a quick message to the most frequently used contacts, reported Express UK.

One of the most appealing features was that of an upgrade in Paint. The app which clearly boasts of more than 100 million users will now be a 3D application wherein the users can use a surface pen and let them draw directly on the screen for the first time. The app is likely to work with Microsoft's HoloLens virtual reality handset. In addition, brushes can be used place an effect on 3D models and check them in live environments.
