BlackBerry DTEK60 is patterned after Alcatel. Recently, it has been rumored to be dubbed as an Alcatel clone.

According to Pocket-lint, if users somehow think that BlackBerry DTEK60 looks familiar, then there is a good basis for that. Blackberry has outsourced the product design and manufacturing to third parties. In connection to this, BlackBerry DTEK60's design and build has been commissioned to TCL Communications responsible for manufacturing Alcatel phones.

The design of BlackBerry DTEK60 have been patterned after Alcatel Idol 4S or Vodafone Smart Platinum 7. This is only based on the design and aesthetics but entirely different in terms of processing and performance.

As added by Mazuma Mobile, the BlackBerry DTEK60, being the second of BlackBerry's DTEK series is better than its predecessor in more ways than one. BlackBerry DTEK60 is designed to offer full access to the Android ecosystem and higher specifications to help power productivity.

For one, BlackBerry DTEK60 offers a fingerprint sensor enabling for quick and convenient ways to unlock and elevate the level of security of the device. Up to five fingerprints can be added that are fully encrypted accessing Power Keeper and making purchases extremely secure.

The BlackBerry DTEK60 also comes with intelligent keyboard. The Intelligent Keyboard is Blackberry's proprietary smart virtual keyboard designed to learn and remember from users and increase typing accuracy and speed

BlackBerry DTEK60 also has an impressive feature such as Phase Detection Auto Focus and dual-tone LED flash. This enables the camera to focus instantly and accurately preventing blurred photos. This feature also ensures that photos look realistic even in low light conditions.

These features definitely set BlackBerry DTEK60 apart from its supposed clone, Alcatel. It is important to reiterate that BlackBerry DTEK60's similarity to that of Alcatel's is only based on design and aesthetic.

To address the rumor that BlackBerry DTEK6 is a mere clone of Alcatel, well it is not. This is not in defense to BlackBerry as Alcatel is also a known and established brand, however, in terms of specifications and features, BlackBerry DTEK60 is a class of its own.
