‘American Crime Story’ Season 3 Cast News: Lady Gaga To Play As Donatella Versace, Is Another Golden Globe Waiting For Her?

The hit series "American Crime Story" will be on its third season, where the story would focus about the murder of designer Gianni Versace, the sister of the victim Donatella Versace is rumored to be portrayed by pop superstar Lady Gaga. Though it is not yet confirmed, the third season will begin filming in early 2017.

Ryan Murphy, the executive producer of the hit TV series showed a manifest intention about the castings, and when asked if Lady Gaga could be the perfect fit for the role of the famous designer Donatella Versace, Murphy simply responded, "Ya think?' and then smiled. Lady Gaga have already performed in a season of "American Crime Story" anyway.

On the other end of the spectrum, Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace are close acquaintance in real life, thus would make their work a lot easier. Her song "Donatella" of the 2013 album "Artpop" says how close they are with the fashion designer, and both have contributed to each other in their respective industry.

According to Rolling Stone, Lady Gaga had already worked with Ryan Murphy before in "American Horror Story : Hotel" where her acting received recognition in the Golden Globe Awards as Best Actress. This fact gives people a hint that she could be playing the role, once and for all.

If Lady Gaga would play the role, it might be in the limelight for another Golden Globe award as the popstar/actress looks severely the same with Donatella Versace, the blonde, the fierce looks and her acting is also spectacular as seen in her previous acting roles.

All eyes are on Lady Gaga and the producers of the show. And just recently according to US Magazine a trusted source confirms that Lady Gaga, would really play the role.
